My name is Dina Belaia. I started traditional visual art training at an early age, first in the Children's School of Art, then in the Graphic Arts high school. When immigrated to Canada, I completed my education in the field of Graphic Design, getting a BFA from York University. Since then I worked as a Graphic Designer and an Artist / Illustrator. I haven't given up painting, and the style I work in is called Analytical Abstractionism. If you want to know more about it, please visit my website about it. I do other visual art-related projects, such as murals, kids' and grown-up's face painting, hand-made bookbinding and such (see my Various page). I love traveling, and I have traveled very extensively: starting with Russia, where I was born, and other republics of the former USSR, I visited every country in Europe, except Greece and Spain (that's more than 20 countries, and it's too long to list them all!) I've also been to Israel, Venezuela, USA and Japan. Want to see my site about the trip to Japan? This certainly broadened my horizons and taught me a lot professionally (in terms of both design and visual art) and about life in general. Currently I live in Toronto. Other than traveling my interests
include: reading (fiction, philosophy, psychology), opera, sports (swimming,
skiing, bicycling) and many more. But most of my time and effort now goes into bringing up my children.
