Artist's Statement

Dina’s drawings and paintings follow the school of Analytical Abstractionism (see www.analytical-art.com).
It employs a process of non-programmed creating forms from particular to whole, analyzing the appearing image rather than synthesizing it. Abstract ‘particles’ from the artist’s subconscious combine to form figurative imagery. This imagery is ultimately transformed, gestated into a final, meaningful work. Dina’s artistic method relies on inner experience, instead of copying what the eye can see. Her art engages the viewer both on a psychological and intellectual level, encouraging introspection. Intricacy of Dina’s images draws the viewer ever closer to discover more and more about it. The natural subject matter for such an approach is the human condition, self and other, and our inner worlds.

Try to understand not what, but how it is done.

Be interested not in the face of the clock, but in the inner mechanism to understand progression of time.

This is not just a style, it is a different approach to creating art. To understand the concepts of how such art is created, feel free to learn more about the method/school/art form of Analytical Art.
