Jewish Cemetery in Chisinau, Moldova

The cemetery has a shrine, which was a grave of a Torah
(in Jewish tradition, Torahs are buried like people).
At the moment the shrine is as damaged and abandoned as are the graves.

Through the hole in the door one can see what's inside...
...and it is just as sad as it is outside.
Originally the Torah grave was in the middle of the cemetery, but since large parts of it
were lost to new development, now there are houses right next to it.
